Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMware Migration Architect to lead and execute enterprise-scale virtualization and cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in VMware technologies and proven experience in planning and delivering complex migration projects with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead VMware migration strategies (on-prem to cloud, data center consolidation, or hybrid environments)
• Assess existing infrastructure and create migration roadmaps and architecture plans
• Execute migrations using tools such as VMware HCX, vMotion, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
• Architect and implement solutions across VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless integration
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity during migrations
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
• Optimize performance, cost, and scalability post-migration
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with strong focus on VMware technologies
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
  • VMware HCX, SRM, vMotion
• Proven experience in large-scale data center or cloud migration projects
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
