Role Summary

The VMware Cloud Foundation Automation Consultant will design, implement, and optimize automation solutions within VMware Cloud Foundation environments. The consultant will leverage VMware Aria Automation and related automation technologies to deliver infrastructure automation, self-service provisioning, orchestration, and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Design automation strategies for VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Develop cloud operating models and automation frameworks.
• Establish governance, service catalogs, and automation standards.
• Create scalable automation architectures and reusable templates.

Automation Implementation

• Deploy and configure VMware Aria Automation solutions.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and workflow automation.
• Build self-service provisioning catalogs.
• Integrate automation platforms with ITSM, CMDB, monitoring, and DevOps tools.

Infrastructure Management

• Automate provisioning of compute, storage, networking, and application resources.
• Develop lifecycle management workflows.
• Implement policy-based governance and approvals.

Operations & Optimization

• Troubleshoot automation workflows and orchestration issues.
• Optimize platform performance and resource utilization.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, and platform maintenance.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Produce design documents, process flows, and implementation guides.
• Deliver operational runbooks and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Support client workshops and automation roadmap discussions.
