Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in manual testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high quality software products. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can effectively identify issues and ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
• Perform thorough manual testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Participate in test planning and strategy discussions, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Mentor and guide junior testers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing tools and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and documentation.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience in performance testing and security testing.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (QA) processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 15 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
