Must Have: 

• Experience with one or more of the state of Texas government agencies   
• implementing Enterprise Systems Integration
• Experience with SAP
• Certifications:: CBAP and/or PMP certification

Job Description:

The Project Manager II is an Information Technology (IT) position that will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives.  This role will follow project management methodologies and governance processes to deliver work products on time and within a set budget.  The role will also collaborate with the end-user and key stakeholders to provide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on their implementation and delivery of contract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. 

Required Skills

•  7+ years of experience managing large and complex IT projects
• Strong experience with IT SDLC processes
• Enterprise Systems Integration implementation experience
• SAP implementation/support experience
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Strong project planning, scheduling, stakeholder management, and executive reporting
• Experience creating and maintaining:
  • Project Timeline
  • Risk & Issue Log
  • Communication Plan
  • Stakeholder Register
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience collaborating with business, technical, and vendor teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools for project planning, scheduling, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience integrating AI-assisted capabilities while ensuring governance, security, quality, and human oversight
