 Job Description:

Job Description:
The Power BI Developer will design and deliver scalable BI and data visualization solutions, including dimensional data models, interactive dashboards, and reports. The role requires transforming complex data into actionable insights and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
• Build and optimize dimensional data models
• Perform complex DAX calculations and data transformations
• Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, and data refresh processes
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for scalable reporting solutions
• Translate business requirements into actionable insights

Required Skills & Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in data modeling and transforming complex datasets
• 4+ years of hands-on Power BI development (DAX, dashboards, reports)
• Experience with workspace management, gateway configuration, and security
• Strong expertise in data visualization and storytelling
• Experience working with Texas state agencies (Mandatory)
• Experience with special education/public education datasets (Mandatory)

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket (Source Control)
• Exposure to SAS datasets (.sas7bdat)
• Experience with Jira
• Knowledge of other BI tools (SAP, Tableau)
