Role: Technical Software Architect
Location: New York, NY (Onsite – 55 Water Street)
Duration: Long Term Contract
We are looking for an experienced Technical Software Architect to support a long-term project in New York, NY. The consultant will work onsite and lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level applications within a structured SDLC environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical teams across the full SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
Design high-level architecture for enterprise applications and select appropriate frameworks, technologies, and databases
Develop and integrate complex application modules using .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET / C#
Implement web-based UI using MVC/MVVM, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
Perform relational database design, normalization, and development using SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures
Develop SSIS packages and SSRS reports
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and version control using Azure DevOps / TFS
Review requirements and collaborate with business analysts and development teams to deliver scalable solutions
Mentor development teams, enforce coding standards, and perform code reviews
Troubleshoot complex architectural or system performance issues
Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, and API specifications
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise business applications
Strong expertise in Microsoft .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, WPF, Entity Framework, LINQ, ADO.NET)
Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS, and database design
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and SOA-based architecture
Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Bootstrap
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps / TFS, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and RUP
Strong architectural, analytical, and leadership skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with GIS or map integration technologies such as LeafletJS
Experience with workflow systems and business intelligence reporting
TOGAF, FEAC, or other Enterprise Architecture certifications
Experience with MSMQ or WebSphere MQ asynchronous architectures
Prior experience supporting federal, state, or local government projects
