Job Summary
seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to design, manage, and secure enterprise SQL Server databases supporting mission-critical business systems. This role serves as a senior subject matter expert and may function in a technical lead capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage SQL Server database administration including installations, upgrades, patching, security, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Support Production, Test, and Development SQL Server environments, including Microsoft SharePoint farms
Configure and support SQL Server Always On high-availability environments
Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
Develop and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Monitor and analyze database performance and recommend tuning or design changes
Implement and validate database security and user authentication
Review system designs and develop new database solutions
Deploy schema changes and modify database structures as needed
Automate jobs and script batch data loads
Utilize Cohesity Backup Appliance
Apply working knowledge of cloud technologies and governance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Extensive hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments
Strong expertise in high availability, performance tuning, and security best practices
