The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives within a state government environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large project portfolios, implementing healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR), and overseeing API integrations within public health systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of 7+ concurrent IT projects supporting public health initiatives

Lead implementation of FHIR standards and API integrations

Oversee full project lifecycle including planning, execution, governance, and reporting

Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and governance artifacts

Perform RFP/RFI analysis and support procurement processes

Drive business process improvements and performance analysis

Collaborate with state agencies, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure compliance and delivery

Required Qualifications:

PMP Certification (required)

15+ years of overall experience with 5+ years leading IT projects

Experience working in a State Government IT environment

Knowledge of public health data systems

Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR)

Strong documentation and governance experience
