Sr. Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)
• Configure and install network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades (patches, hotfixes, etc.)
• Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for support and improvements
• Manage cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies
• Mentor junior network engineers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5–10+ years of experience in network engineering
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Firewalls and security (IPS/IDS)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking tools
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
• Knowledge of SD-WAN and network automation is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• CompTIA Network+
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
