Sr Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
• Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and modern data platforms
• Develop robust batch and real-time data ingestion frameworks
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and consistency across systems
• Optimize database performance, query efficiency, and storage management
• Implement data modeling techniques for analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders
• Build cloud-native data solutions using services from
  Amazon Web Services,
  Microsoft Azure, or
  Google Cloud
• Automate workflows using orchestration tools and CI/CD practices
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve system reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering best practices

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/Scala/Java
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and Apache Kafka
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Prefect
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB
• Experience with cloud data services on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of data lake architectures and lakehouse concepts

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code practices
