Key Responsibilities:
We are actively hiring an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) for a State of Ohio Government client in Downtown Columbus, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment supporting critical public sector applications.
✔ Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server environments including VM servers
✔ Perform database design, planning, configuration, performance tuning, and capacity planning
✔ Handle SQL Server upgrades, migrations, releases, and maintenance
✔ Implement clustering, log shipping, replication, standby servers, and HA/DR solutions
✔ Provide Tier III production support and incident resolution
✔ Collaborate with application, network, IIS, and storage teams
✔ Support Azure Cloud and cross-platform database environments
✔ Work with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, and Nginx
✔ Ensure database security, patching, compliance, and access controls
Required Skills:
✅ Strong experience as SQL Server DBA
✅ Expertise in SQL Server Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping
✅ Experience with performance tuning & troubleshooting
✅ Knowledge of Azure Cloud / VM environments
✅ Experience in production support and database upgrades
✅ Strong collaboration and leadership skill
