Job Title: Splunk Engineer / Administrator
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: Long Term

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• 3+ years experience in Splunk administration, design, and configuration (On-prem & Cloud)
• Strong experience with Splunk Enterprise & Enterprise Security (ES)
• Splunk Core Administration experience is mandatory
• 3+ years Linux administration, scripting, or application support
• Experience in requirement gathering and documentation
• Experience in developing and supporting Splunk applications
• Exposure to automation using Python / Java / .NET / Ansible (good to have)
• Experience with GIT, JIRA, CI/CD practices
• Understanding of SIEM, Big Data tools (Kafka, Hadoop), and cloud technologies

Responsibilities:

• Manage, support, and enhance Splunk infrastructure
• Develop and optimize Splunk apps, dashboards, queries, and data models
• Implement Splunk best practices and architecture improvements
• Perform scripting and automation using Python
• Support migration, performance testing, and UAT activities
• Build POCs and reusable templates for Splunk solutions
• Define retention policies and monitoring standards

Nice to Have:

• SIEM experience
• RTIR exposure
• Certifications: Splunk / CISSP or equivalent
