Servicenow Itom Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ITOM solutions in ServiceNow including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB
• Configure and customize ITOM modules based on business and operational requirements
• Develop scripts using JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer
• Maintain CMDB health and improve data quality, governance, and compliance
• Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring tools, cloud platforms, and third-party systems
• Support Event Management and alert correlation for proactive incident resolution
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and operations teams
• Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization
• Create technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, Glide scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes
• Experience with MID Server configuration and troubleshooting
• Understanding of CMDB best practices and CSDM
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or SolarWinds

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ITSM, ITAM, or SecOps modules
• Knowledge of Orchestration and Automation workflows
• Exposure to Service Graph Connector and IntegrationHub
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies: servers, network, virtualization, storage
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Typically 3–8+ years of overall IT experience with relevant ServiceNow ITOM expertise
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery or ITOM preferred
