Job Title: Senior Teradata Developer (SAS to GCP Migration)

Location: Dallas (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Teradata Developer with 12+ years of expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL development, and large-scale cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience in Teradata, Informatica ETL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), along with proven experience in SAS to GCP migration projects.

This role requires deep understanding of legacy SAS workloads, migration strategies, data transformation, and modernization to cloud-native architectures in GCP.

Key Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, and optimize complex Teradata SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.

·         Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter (or similar ETL tools).

·         Lead and support SAS to GCP migration initiatives, including:

o    Assessment of legacy SAS programs and data workflows.

o    Re-engineering SAS logic into GCP-native services.

o    Data validation and reconciliation post-migration.

·         Migrate on-prem Teradata/SAS data pipelines to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·         Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer.

·         Perform performance tuning and query optimization across Teradata and cloud environments.

·         Design and maintain scalable and high-performing data warehouse solutions.

·         Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards during migration.

·         Collaborate with data architects, business stakeholders, and cloud engineering teams.

·         Provide production support and resolve performance and data-related issues.

·         Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical design discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

·         10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and BI environments.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Teradata (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).

·         Expertise in Informatica ETL development.

·         Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·         Mandatory: Proven SAS to GCP migration experience.

o    Experience converting SAS code to GCP-based solutions (BigQuery/DataProc/Python).

o    Understanding of SAS datasets, macros, and batch processing workflows.

·         Experience with on-prem to cloud data migration projects.

·         Strong SQL, data modeling, and query optimization skills.

·         Experience working in Hybrid Agile environments.

·         Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
