Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and large-scale data modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, advanced SQL, dimensional data modeling, and Python-based data engineering solutions. This role requires strong leadership capabilities and experience in enterprise-level orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute large-scale data modernization and consolidation initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
  • Architect and manage Snowflake environments, including performance tuning, data sharing, and cost optimization.
  • Develop advanced SQL queries and implement dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake schema).
  • Build robust data processing solutions using Python for automation, transformation, and API integrations.
  • Implement and manage enterprise-grade workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Architects, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and best practices across platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively optimize data workloads.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data modernization or consolidation projects.
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture:
    • Performance tuning
    • Data sharing
    • Cost management
  • Expert-level SQL skills.
  • Strong experience in dimensional data modeling techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for:
    • Data manipulation
    • Automation
    • API integrations
  • Extensive experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
