Senior Palo Alto Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls (NGFW) across enterprise environments
• Configure and maintain:
  • Security policies
  • NAT rules
  • VPNs (IPSec & SSL)
• Implement and manage Panorama for centralized firewall management
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats using:
  • Threat Prevention
  • WildFire
  • URL Filtering
• Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues
• Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with standards
• Collaborate with network, cloud, and SOC teams
• Provide L3 support and mentor junior engineers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in network/security engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • Panorama
  • GlobalProtect VPN
• Solid understanding of:
  • TCP/IP, routing, switching
  • Network security principles
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of SIEM tools and log analysis
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Certifications

• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
• CCNP Security / CCIE Security
• CISSP (optional but valued)
