Job Description:
* Assist in accessibility compliance efforts and provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing systems within the General Government Delivery Center (GGDC).
* Work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively in a team environment with developers of varying skill levels.
* Analyze and interpret user requirements with the project team, proposing viable technical solutions.
* Lead development efforts for complex web-based software applications.
* Apply expertise in HTML and style sheets to ensure accessibility functionality and compliance standards.
* Design and program user interface, business layer, database layer, and reporting components to fulfill user needs.
* Propose database designs for review and approval by database administrators.
* Support data migration activities from legacy databases to new structures.
* Develop applications using Microsoft VB.Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server database.
* Utilize the Visual Studio development platform for coding and debugging.
* Adhere to established coding standards, database best practices, and organizational guidelines.
* Manage source code control, work items, testing activities, and documentation versioning through Azure DevOps.
* Provide accurate time estimates for development tasks to meet project requirements.
* Regularly report work status and progress to the project manager.
* Perform thorough unit testing, regression testing, and bug resolution for all developed code.
* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and users.
* Document processes, mentor junior staff, and facilitate knowledge transfer to IT team members.
* Handle additional duties as assigned to support project success.
Requirements:
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in VB.Net
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in ASP.Net
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in JavaScript
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in XML
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
* 5+ Years knowledgeable in SQL Server database
* Strong experience in designing and developing complex web-based applications
* Proven expertise in HTML/CSS for accessibility compliance (WCAG standards preferred)
* Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
* Ability to lead development, estimate efforts, test code, and document thoroughly
* Excellent communication skills for presenting technical details to non-technical audiences
Good to Have:
* Experience with data migration projects
* Familiarity with accessibility tools and testing for web applications
* Prior work in government or public sector environments
* Knowledge of additional .NET technologies or related frameworks
