Senior Mainframe Application Developer

Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using IBM z/OS COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL
Perform coding, debugging, and support in a large-scale enterprise environment
Work with IBM MQ and CICS for message processing and transaction management
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently within SLA timelines
Participate in on-call support including weekends on a rotational basis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/CI-CD environment
Ensure application resiliency, security, and performance optimization
Work on job scheduling using CA7 and deployment using Changeman
Analyze system issues and provide root cause analysis with permanent fixes
Support banking/card-related applications (if applicable)
Mandatory Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in IBM z/OS COBOL
Hands-on experience in CICS and IBM MQ (Must Have)
Expertise in DB2, VSAM, and JCL
Experience with CA7, Changeman, and Mainframe Utilities
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile/CI/CD environments
Nice to Have:
Experience with IMS
Banking and Cards domain experience
