Hiring: Senior Java Developer (State Client Project)

This is not an entry-level or generic Java role. We need a battle-tested Senior Java Developer who has already worked in state government environments and knows how to operate within structured, compliance-heavy systems.

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Work Model: Hybrid
Experience: 15+ years (non-negotiable)
 Mandatory: State client experience

What the role actually demands

If your experience is shallow or narrowly focused, this is not a fit.

Core Technical Requirements:

• Java & Spring Boot development — 7+ years
• REST API design with solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and microservices — 5+ years
• Batch processing (building, tuning, and optimizing) — 5+ years
• Event-driven architecture & message queues — 5+ years
• MuleSoft (integrations + API management) — 3+ years
• Document generation platforms (template-based systems) — working knowledge required

What we’re looking for

• Someone who can own backend systems, not just code to tickets
• Experience dealing with legacy + modern stacks in government setups
• Comfort with high accountability, audits, and long-term systems
