Senior Database Administrator

Tittle : Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server - Azure) 
Location : Minnetonka, Minnesota (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
Administer and maintain SQL Server 2019 databases hosted on Azure.
Plan, test, and execute SQL Server version upgrades with minimal downtime.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (Always On, Failover Clustering, Azure-based DR).
Perform database backup, restore, and recovery operations.
Ensure database security, access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.
Manage Azure SQL VMs / Azure-based infrastructure
Work closely with development teams for database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
8+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server 2019.
Experience managing SQL Server in Microsoft Azure environments.
Proven experience in SQL Server upgrade planning and execution.
Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Strong knowledge of HA/DR configurations.
Experience with Azure VM, Azure Storage, and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Strong communication skills
