Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Data Modeler to design and deliver enterprise-grade data architecture for large-scale financial services environments. The role focuses on building high-performance operational data stores and near real-time data warehouses, enforcing strong data governance, and establishing a single version of truth across cloud and on-prem platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry best practices (Kimball, Inmon)
Lead enterprise data modeling initiatives and facilitate modeling sessions with business and IT stakeholders
Build scalable, high-performance data models for ODS, data warehouses, and event-driven architectures
Drive data standards, reuse, governance, metadata, and lineage across the enterprise
Support modern architectures including DDD, microservices, data mesh, and event streaming
Hands-on work with Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, MongoDB, SQL, and Python
Perform data analysis, profiling, source-to-target mapping, and performance tuning
Mentor junior team members and support a strong risk & control environment
Required Skills & Experience:
15+ years of hands-on data modeling experience (Erwin preferred)
Strong financial services domain experience (accounts, cards, payments, digital processing)
Expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and data warehouse performance tuning
Experience with data governance, catalogs, and lineage (Collibra, Alation – plus)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in complex, fast-paced environments
