Senior Data Engineer

• Build and optimize data models for analytics and reporting.
• Lead the development of real-time and batch data processing systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in data engineering.
• Evaluate and adopt modern data tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with big data frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Experience with data lake/lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hudi).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
