Senior Data Engineer

• Optimize database performance and query efficiency
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical leadership
• Work with cloud-based data solutions and distributed systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience building data pipelines using tools like Airflow or similar
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL design patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with data lake architectures and lakehouse concepts
• Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
