Senior AI Governance

Experience & Education

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or regulatory consulting
• Master’s degree (or higher) in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field

Core Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, validation, and governance of Machine Learning and AI models within banking environments
• Provide expert input on AI architecture, model lifecycle management, performance testing, and monitoring
• Assess and advise on model risk, explainability, robustness, bias, and regulatory compliance
• Evaluate cybersecurity and data risks related to AI/ML systems
• Translate regulatory expectations (e.g., model risk management, SR 11-7–type frameworks, AI governance) into practical implementation
• Act as a senior subject-matter expert in discussions with risk, compliance, technology, and regulators

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience with ML/AI model development, validation, or independent testing in banking
• Strong grounding in statistical modeling, econometrics, and applied mathematics
• Deep understanding of model performance metrics, stress testing, back-testing, and limitations
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, controls, and documentation standards

Leadership & Communication

• Independent problem solver capable of operating with minimal supervision
• Strong critical thinking and judgment in ambiguous, high-risk environments
• Proven ability to manage workstreams and deliverables across complex projects
• Confident communicator with experience presenting technical and risk concepts to senior management and stakeholders
