Sas Lead Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SAS Developer with strong Python and SQL expertise to design, develop, and maintain data processing, analytics, and reporting solutions. The role involves working with large datasets, modernizing legacy SAS workloads where required, and supporting data integration across enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs, macros, and batch processes

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation

Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration with modern data platforms

Perform data analysis, data validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources

Support migration or modernization of SAS workloads to cloud or Python-based frameworks

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions

Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for SAS jobs and data pipelines

Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAS (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL)

Strong SQL development and query optimization experience

Strong Python programming skills for data processing and automation

Experience working with large data volumes in enterprise data warehouse environments

Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development

Experience with version control tools like Git

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
