SAP Financial Functional Consultant

8+ years (mid-level) or 10+ years (senior) of SAP functional consulting experience

Hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration experience in finance-related modules

Experience working with SAP Public Sector Management in a U.S. Federal Government environment

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience supporting SAP implementations across the full lifecycle (design, configuration, testing, and deployment)

Key Responsibilities 

System Implementation & Integration

Provide functional support for integration between the GO.gov IBM travel solution and SAP S/4HANA financial systems

Support Business Partner integration and Master Data Governance (MDG) processes

Assist with configuration and validation of SAP financial processes related to travel expense processing

Testing & Validation

Develop, execute, and document system integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts

Validate travel expense transactions and related financial postings in SAP

Data Conversion

Perform data cleansing, mapping, and transformation for legacy travel and financial data migration into SAP

Operations & Support

Provide Tier 2/3 functional support for travel system issues impacting SAP financial processing

Troubleshoot system integration and posting errors related to travel transactions

Documentation & Collaboration

Create and maintain functional documentation including business process flows, configuration documentation, SOPs, and user guides

Collaborate with technical teams, program leadership, and federal stakeholders to gather and refine system requirements

Preferred ExperienceFederal Travel Systems

Experience with Concur Government Edition (CGE) or the GO.gov IBM travel solution

Familiarity with GSA ETS2 / ETSNext travel systems

Federal Financial Operations

Knowledge of USSGL posting models and federal financial reporting requirements

Experience with Payment Medium Workbench, Treasury reporting, or federal charge card programs

SAP Functional Modules

Experience in one or more of the following SAP modules: FM, FI-GL, AP, AR, CO, or SD

Federal System Integrations

Experience integrating SAP with federal systems such as:

Treasury / IPP , FPPS , Compusearch PRISM

GSA SmartPay
