Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Developer to join our team in supporting a high-profile Federal client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This includes designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated reports and dashboards, ensuring seamless integration between SAP BO and Snowflake, and providing expert-level support to business stakeholders for their advanced reporting and analytics requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Report Development: Design, build, and maintain complex SAP BusinessObjects reports utilizing Web Intelligence (WebI) and Crystal Reports to meet federal reporting standards.
Universe Management: Construct and manage semantic layers (Universes - UNX/UNV) using the Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT).
Data Integration: Facilitate the integration of SAP BO with Snowflake as the primary data source, ensuring robust data pipelines and connectivity.
Query Optimization: Write and refine advanced Snowflake SQL queries to ensure maximum performance, scalability, and efficiency of data retrieval.
Quality Assurance: Validate data accuracy and consistency across all BO reports while maintaining high performance for end-user experience.
Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to BO reports, universe architecture, and overall system performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business users to translate complex requirements into actionable technical specifications and intuitive analytical dashboards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of professional experience in SAP BusinessObjects development.
Technical Expertise: * Expert-level proficiency in Web Intelligence and Information Design Tool (IDT).
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing and advanced SQL tuning.
Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks in both the reporting layer and the database layer.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical federal stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
