Salesforce Solutions Architect – Commerce Cloud

Location: Remote (U.S.-based; preference for TX or CA) Position Type: 12-Month Contract (with option to hire)

Overview
The architect will be a key player in discovery, blueprinting, roadmap development, and implementation across Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), integrating with SAP, and evolving toward a scalable, robust OMS layer for order capture and fulfillment.

Ideal Experience / Qualifications

·       Proven experience as a Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) Solutions Architect
·       Strong background in B2B and B2C commerce implementations, including brand-owned storefronts
·       Experience with Commerce Cloud, Commerce on Demand, and decoupled architecture strategies
·       Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce Commerce Cloud with SAP and OMS platforms
·       Deep understanding of customer engagement, loyalty programs, and digital consumer experiences
·       Experience leading discovery sessions, solution blueprinting, and roadmap development
·       Prior experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries is a plus
·       Client-facing experience with strong stakeholder management skills
·       Experience guiding offshore development teams
·       Strong communication and leadership abilities
·      Must be U.S.-based and able to attend meetings across time zones

Key Responsibilities
·       Lead end-to-end architecture and design for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations
·       Conduct discovery workshops to define business requirements and future-state solutions
·       Develop solution blueprints and strategic roadmaps for digital commerce transformation
·       Architect and support decoupling of commerce environments for scalability and flexibility
·       Design and oversee OMS layer for order capture and processing
·       Collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and personalization
·       Guide development of B2B and B2C storefronts, ensuring seamless user experiences
·       Align commerce systems with SAP integration teams
·       Provide leadership and direction to onshore and offshore development teams
·       Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals
·       Ensure best practices in architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
