Job Description
As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Personalization Developer, you will be the technical architect behind our real-time 1-to-1 customer engagement strategy. You will bridge the gap between complex data schemas and front-end execution, ensuring that every customer interaction is informed by data and delivered with precision.
Your primary focus will be the end-to-end implementation of Salesforce Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio), specifically leveraging the Interactions SDK to capture deep behavioral insights and deploy sophisticated web and server-side templates.
Key Responsibilities
- SDK Implementation: Deploy and configure the Salesforce Interactions SDK across web, mobile, and server-side applications to capture real-time behavioral events.
- Technical Integration: Map raw customer data from various sources into the Personalization Unified Customer Profile (UCP) to create a "Golden Record."
- Template Development: Build and maintain reusable Web and Server-side Templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (TypeScript), and Handlebars.
- Sitemap Development: Architect and code robust Sitemaps to identify page types, capture high-value actions, and manage identity resolution.
- Real-Time Orchestration: Configure Einstein Recipes and Decisions to automate personalized content delivery based on machine learning and business rules.
- Testing & Optimization: Lead A/B testing efforts within the Personalization platform and troubleshoot complex data flow or rendering issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing Strategists and Data Engineers to translate business requirements into technical execution.
Technical Requirements
- Platform Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Personalization (Interaction Studio).
- Coding Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript is essential.
- Front-End Skills: Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web frameworks.
- Data Architecture: Experience working with JSON, REST APIs, and relational data structures.
- SFMC Ecosystem: Familiarity with the broader Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions).
- Web Technologies: Understanding of Tag Management Systems (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch), cookies, and DOM manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Accredited Professional.
- Experience with server-side integrations (Java, C#, or Node.js).
- Understanding of the Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) integration with Personalization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex behavioral data sets.
