Job Title: Ruby on Rails Lead Developer (Production Support & Engineering)

Experience: 8–10 Years Location: Culver City CA(onsite) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Lead Developer with strong production support expertise to lead development and support of complex, time-sensitive production systems.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering excellence with leadership capabilities, ensuring high system reliability, scalability, and performance while guiding best practices across the team.

This role requires flexibility to support applications during shifts and weekends when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Development - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails - Build and enhance features using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React - Create, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and integrations with internal/external systems - Refactor and improve legacy code for security, maintainability, reliability, and scalability - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices - Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to elevate engineering standards

Production Support & Operations - Provide timely technical support to internal teams, stakeholders, and customers - Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes - Monitor application performance, logs, and error reports; proactively address potential risks - Work independently on support tickets, analysis, and solution proposals - Maintain documentation including technical specifications, troubleshooting guides, and support playbooks - Support applications in shifts and weekends as required Cloud & DevOps - Manage and deploy applications on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, SES, Route53, S3, IAM, VPC) - Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins - Implement logging and monitoring solutions using Kibana and OpenSearch - Ensure security best practices in cloud infrastructure - Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Collaboration & Agile –

Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives) –

Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders Required Technical Skills - 8–10 years of experience supporting complex, time-sensitive production systems - Strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails - Experience with Node.js - Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases –

Strong understanding of REST API design and implementation - Experience resolving performance, scalability, and reliability issues –

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) - Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Trello)
