Role Overview
The AS400/RPG Developer will support complex enterprise retail systems including order processing, billing, invoicing, and inventory operations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of IT experience in systems analysis and programming
• 10+ years hands-on development experience with iSeries RPG
Required Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with:
SQL Triggers
Database Constraints
Embedded SQL (Must-have)
File Locking Concepts
Multiple Partitions
RPG ILE Programming
RPG SQL Programming
Interactive SQL
CL Programming
FTP File Transfer
• Experience with:
• RPG Free, RPGIII, RPGIV
• SQL/400 or DBU (at least one mandatory)
• Implementer Tool for Change Management
• Hawkeye tool for impact analysis
