Qe Engineer

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create test scenarios
• Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts
• Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, or enterprise applications
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams
• Perform regression, integration, system, smoke, and UAT testing
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks where applicable
• Validate APIs, databases, and backend systems
• Ensure quality standards are followed throughout the SDLC/STLC
• Prepare test reports and communicate test status to stakeholders

🔹 Required Skills

Core Testing Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Knowledge of Manual Testing concepts
• Test case design and defect lifecycle management
• Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Integration Testing
• API Testing using tools like Postman
• Basic SQL for database validation

Automation Skills (Preferred)

• Automation using Selenium WebDriver
• Knowledge of Java / Python for automation scripting
• TestNG / JUnit
• CI/CD basics using Jenkins
• Performance testing basics using Apache JMeter (optional)

Tools

• Defect tracking: Jira
• Test management tools like TestRail / ALM
• Git for version control
