QA Engineer 

Austin, TX – hybrid

Contract

Only Independent Visa’s

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., using Selenium)
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum meetings, sprint planning, etc.)
• Analyze test results and provide feedback for improvements

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)  
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium or TestNG
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
