Python API Developer

Key Responsibilities

Python API Development (Mandatory)

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Python APIs using FastAPI.
• Implement robust API endpoints that interact with AI/LLM models.
• Configure and optimize deployment using Gunicorn/Uvicorn.
• Develop code adhering to best practices for performance, maintainability, and reliability.

Azure Deployment

• Deploy API services to Azure (App Service or AKS).
• Configure and manage Azure Application Gateway for traffic routing, WAF policies, and TLS.
• Integrate secure access using Azure Key Vault and Managed Identities.

AI Integration

• Work with team members to integrate AI model inference endpoints into API workflows.
• Support model interaction patterns such as streaming outputs or model orchestration.

Nice-to-Have Skills

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

• Basic understanding of embedding models, vector search, and retrieval mechanisms.
• Exposure to Azure AI Search or similar vector database technologies.

Security Testing

• Familiarity with API security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and payload validation.
• Exposure to security testing tools (static or dynamic) or assisting with security assessments.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Gunicorn/Uvicorn and containerized deployments.
• Experience deploying applications on Azure, especially with Application Gateway.
• Understanding of REST API design principles and best practices.
