Role: Product Owner - Automation Framework

Location: Portland, Oregon

Exp: 7 to 10 years

Job Description:

·         7 to 10 years relevant mandatory experience.

·         Automation Framework (Virtualized Android Environment, Linux/QNX, Qualcomm SOM)

·         Team: Automation Scrum Team – In-Flight Entertainment (IFE)

·         Work closely with Android platform engineers, QNX/Linux teams, Qualcomm chipset specialists, and virtualization architects.

·         Understand the automation framework architecture (hardware abstraction, virtualized interfaces, DUT orchestration, reporting pipelines).

·         Write clear, well-structured epics, features, and user stories for automation tooling, framework improvements, APIs, and test execution workflows.

·         Refine backlog items with engineering teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with the automation strategy.

·         Collaborate with Scrum Master and Engineering Lead to drive predictable, sprint-based delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy

·         Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for the Automation Framework for virtualized Android- and Linux-based IFE systems.

·         Prioritize automation features and capabilities based on business value, technical feasibility, team capacity, and program timelines.

·         Define KPIs for automation coverage, stability, efficiency, and adoption across multiple platform teams.

 Guide the team on automation needs for:

·         Virtualized Android environments

·         Linux and QNX subsystems

·         Qualcomm SOM-based hardware

·         IFE system integration and certification workflows

Stakeholder Management

·         Serve as the primary liaison between automation engineering and product/program stakeholders across PAC.

·         Gather requirements from system verification, platform SW teams, airline program teams, and integration labs.

·         Communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and dependencies with clarity and frequency
