Principal GENAI Engineer

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions
• Lead development of LLM-powered applications such as chatbots, copilots, document intelligence, and AI assistants
• Build and optimize prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), agent workflows, and fine-tuning strategies
• Develop scalable AI pipelines using vector databases and knowledge retrieval systems
• Evaluate model performance, hallucination risks, latency, and cost optimization
• Implement governance, security, responsible AI, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with product teams to define AI use cases and delivery roadmaps
• Mentor engineers and establish GenAI engineering best practices
• Drive production deployment using MLOps / LLMOps methodologies
• Stay updated on advancements in LLMs, multimodal AI, and AI infrastructure

🔹 Required Skills

Core AI / GenAI Skills

• Strong expertise in LLMs, Transformers, Prompt Engineering, and RAG
• Experience with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and semantic search systems
• Fine-tuning and model evaluation knowledge
• Experience with embeddings and vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or ChromaDB
• Knowledge of AI safety, model alignment, and governance

Programming & Platform Skills

• Strong Python programming expertise
• API development using FastAPI / Flask
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production deployment
• Experience with data engineering pipelines and scalable distributed systems
