Job Title: PHP Developer

Location: Minneapolis/Minnesota (onsite)

Position Summary

The candidate will design, build, and maintain mission‑critical backend services. This includes secure, scalable PHP development, data-driven logic, API integrations, and modernization across legacy and service systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop backend services using core PHP with strong OOP principles.

Write and optimize SQL queries for transactional workflows and reporting.

Apply secure coding practices to prevent common web vulnerabilities.

Support modernization efforts across monolithic and microservices environments.

Build and integrate RESTful APIs.

Write unit and integration tests and assist with debugging.

Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams on requirements and delivery.

Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

Assist with environment provisioning using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional PHP development experience.

React or GO

Strong OOP, MVC, and backend design skills.

Proficient in SQL query writing and optimization.

Experience with unit testing and debugging.

Knowledge of secure coding practices.

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and REST API development.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.

Familiarity with payment systems or compliance-heavy environments.

Experience with Docker and AWS
