Overview

We are seeking a senior-level PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) Security Consultant to support a higher education client in performing a comprehensive security and infrastructure assessment of their SIS environment.

This role will focus on evaluating application security, identity and access management (IAM), and overall security architecture, and delivering a detailed gap analysis with actionable remediation recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions security within higher education environments and a strong understanding of enterprise IAM and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive security assessment of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including:
  • User roles and permission lists
  • Row-level security
  • Query and batch process security
  • Sensitive page and correction mode access
• Evaluate identity and access management (IAM) processes, including:
  • Provisioning and deprovisioning workflows
  • Role assignment governance
  • Segregation of duties (SoD)
• Assess overall security architecture, including:
  • Application security design
  • Integration points (e.g., Integration Broker)
  • External-facing components
• Identify and document security gaps, risks, and vulnerabilities
• Provide recommendations and remediation strategies, including:
  • Security model improvements
  • Role and access redesign
  • Governance and process enhancements
• Develop:
  • Security assessment report
  • Risk and gap analysis
  • Prioritized remediation roadmap
• Collaborate with:
  • IT security teams
  • PeopleSoft administrators
  • Functional stakeholders (Registrar, Student Services)
• Present findings to technical and executive stakeholders 

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
• 5+ years focused on PeopleSoft security administration and architecture
• Strong expertise in:
  • Roles, permission lists, user profiles
  • Row-level security
  • Query security and process security
  • Segregation of duties (SoD)
• Experience with IAM processes, including provisioning/deprovisioning workflows
• Experience performing security assessments, audits, or gap analyses
• Strong understanding of:  
  • PeopleSoft architecture (App Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler, IB)
  • Security best practices in higher education
• Ability to produce clear documentation and executive-level recommendations 

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in higher education institutions (Tier 1 preferred)
• Familiarity with:
  • Oracle 19c database environments
  • Linux-based PeopleSoft infrastructure (RHEL preferred)
  • Exadata Cloud@Customer environments
• Experience with:
  • Security audit frameworks
  • Compliance or risk-based assessments
• Exposure to:
  • Integration Broker security
  • External-facing SIS components (student self-service)
