MAPICS (AS400) Project
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
 
 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years as MAPICS / AS400 Project Manager
 Strong experience in MAPICS (XA / MAPICS for IBM i) ERP
 End‑to‑end understanding of Manufacturing, BOM, MRP, Inventory, Purchasing, Costing
 Experience managing AS400 / IBM i ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
 Strong command of RPG/RPGLE awareness (management level)
 Experience with legacy modernization or ERP transformation programs
 Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication
 Experience managing onsite‑offshore delivery teams
 Strong SDLC and ERP governance knowledge

Good to have skills:
 
 · Exposure to IBM i (AS400) administration concepts
 · Experience with MAPICS integrations (EDI, MES, WMS, Legacy systems)
 · Knowledge of DB2/400, batch jobs, and job scheduling
 · Experience with manufacturing or regulated industries
 · Prior experience in carve‑outs, divestitures, or ERP rationalization
 · Agile or Hybrid agile‑waterfall project delivery experience
 
 
 Roles & Responsibilities
 
 • Lead end‑to‑end MAPICS (AS400 / IBM i) ERP projects
 • Manage scope, schedule, cost, risks, and dependencies
 • Coordinate functional, technical, and infrastructure teams
 • Drive ERP enhancements, integrations, and stabilization initiatives
 • Manage UAT, regression testing, cutover, and go‑live activities
 • Oversee vendor management and SOW adherence
 • Ensure compliance with SDLC, audit, and quality standards
 • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
 • Provide executive‑level project status and risk reporting
