Oracle DBA Consultant (Peoplesoft + HCM/Hrms/Fcm)

Job Title: Oracle DBA Consultant (PeopleSoft + HCM/HRMS/FCM)

Location: McLean, VA – Day 1 Onsite
Experience: 12–15+ Years

What the Client Needs (In Simple Words):

We need a senior-level consultant who can handle both Oracle Database Administration AND PeopleSoft Application Administration – specifically for HRMS / HCM / Financials (FCM) modules.

This is a hybrid role – part DBA, part Application Admin, part Architect.

Key Responsibilities (What they will do):

1. Architecture & Strategy

• Plan and design system upgrades, cloud moves, and performance improvements.
• Ensure systems are secure, fast, and scalable.

2. PeopleSoft Admin Work

• Manage PeopleSoft HCM, HRMS, and Finance modules (like GL, AP, AR, Procurement).
• Handle PeopleTools upgrades, patches, and environment management (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).

3. Oracle DBA Work

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle DB (11g/12c/19c+).
• Do backups (RMAN), disaster recovery, Data Guard, and RAC setup.
• Keep database running 24/7 – no downtime.

4. Performance Tuning

• Fix slow SQL queries and tune database/app performance.
• Use tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM.

5. Integration & Cloud

• Work with APIs, web services, and Integration Broker.
• Lead cloud migrations (OCI / AWS / Azure).

6. Security & Compliance

• Set access controls, handle audits, and apply security patches.
