Oracle Application Support Analyst
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides application functional and limited technical support for Oracle eBusiness Systems Modules in Finance (AR, AP, GL, CM, FA, iExpense, and iSupplier) and in Projects (Costing, Billing, Accounting). Prior experience in a support role is required.
Must be customer facing, willing to take on system operational challenges, articulate ideas clearly, understand the problem and identify the underlying cause of the system issue.
Must be able to identify customizations from standard feature and functionality. A keen, inquisitive and investigative approach to problem solving using data as evidence. Must be able to generate adhoc reports to support or identify the magnitude of the issue at hand.
Use diagnostics scripts, SQL and other query writing tools to analyze data, extract data for ad hoc reporting, and identify constraints and integrity issues with data.
Responsible for completion of all required Change Management tasks and relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable).
Utilize industry accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project life cycle.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with Accounting Major, or 5 years of related industry is required.
At least 5-7 years of experience working and supporting Oracle eBusiness Modules. Preferably Finance and/or Oracle Projects. It required that the candidate is aware of the dataflow processes between subledger and between subledger and General Ledger.
Able to review and understand programming logic constructs used in Workflow, Apex, BI Publisher Reports to learn current system state.
3+ years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL is required.
Must be aware of EBS Data model and architecture in the areas of Finance and Projects.
3+ years of programming experience in Oracle Apex is preferred.
Experience working in a multi-developer, team environment is preferred.
Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) is preferred.
Able to articulate application behavior, current and future states, in a language that is understood by the end user.
