Network Security Engineer

• Design and implement secure network architectures
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and threats
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Investigate and respond to security incidents
• Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure system integration
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching)
• Experience with firewall and security technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet)
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems and network monitoring tools
• Understanding of VPNs, proxies, and secure network protocols
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows)
• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash)

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CCNP Security
• Experience with security tools like Wireshark, Snort, or Nmap
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis
• Understanding of cloud networking security
• Experience with zero trust architecture
