For this role, we’re looking for someone with deeper, day-to-day operational experience managing next-generation firewalls with appropriate certifications (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower). They need experience with policy lifecycle management, advanced troubleshooting, and incident response. We were also looking for stronger depth in areas like firewall policy evaluation, VPN troubleshooting, and security-focused architecture concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, segmentation strategies), where his responses were more foundational.

Onsite Firewall Engineers:
Attached are the job descriptions for the roles in play to provide a competitive quote for two highly qualified and experienced individuals to be onsite “contingent” aka “staff-aug” style. 

There are two attached JDs. The generic JD does keep the technologies anonymous if posting to a public board. The non-Generic one goes more into the specific techs and experiences desired, and is intended for staffing vendors to pre-screen and present only worthy fitting candidates to those roles for our consideration.

Again, these are onsite jobs 5 days a week, with a potential that a worker once onboarded and who keeps their role in good standing would have an option to work onsite or remotely on Fridays should they prefer it.

There is for 2 quality Onsite Firewall Engineers with Average work hours of 40 per week. Oncall rotation would be included as well as participating in additional scheduled maintenance that is often during Regional Maintenance windows.
