Job Title: Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Overview:
The client is seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer for their Charlotte, NC location. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and supporting applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform while adhering to the organization's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
This role involves gathering business requirements, designing and developing solutions, creating and executing test cases, managing application lifecycle processes, and providing production and customer support. As the organization is in the early stages of adopting the Power Platform, the candidate will also play a key role in knowledge sharing and guiding other developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop applications using Power Platform best practices.
- Administer and manage Power Platform environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing production support.
- Analyze business requirements and create design specifications for new applications and enhancements.
- Test, debug, and refine application code based on defined requirements.
- Prepare technical and user documentation for developed applications.
- Provide feedback to management to ensure project timelines and development milestones are achieved.
- Participate in knowledge sharing with development teams adopting Power Platform technologies.
Develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps integrating multiple data sources such as SharePoint Online, Oracle, SQL Server, and others.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in application development using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
- Experience with Power Automate.
- Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with Dataverse and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Programming knowledge in DAX, JavaScript, C#, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with connectors and integrations.
- Knowledge of application security, data governance, and application monitoring.
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred / Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Copilot Studio.
- Knowledge of data modeling.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Experience with Azure Storage.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Logic Apps.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Knowledge of Dataflows.
- Experience with Power Apps Data Gateways.
