MDM Architect
Requirement
You’ll design and implement scalable, modern data architectures that ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and business partners to align data initiatives with enterprise goals and deliver trusted, high-quality data solutions that power decision-making.
Your expertise will guide the design and integration of enterprise data systems—connecting traditional on-premises environments with modern, cloud-based ecosystems that support ERIE.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures that promote data quality and consistency.
Proficiency with Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or IBM InfoSphere.
Strong understanding of data integration, governance, metadata management, and data stewardship principles.
Experience with data modeling, APIs, ETL design, and modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines to define strategy and deliver scalable data solutions.
Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, or Redshift is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the single point of accountability for architecture function to portfolio owner customers and technology leadership.
Provides architectural guidance on initiatives of moderate to high complexity across multiple enterprise portfolios, while managing multiple customers with differing priorities on the organization’s most strategic initiatives.
Provides full-stack architectural options that enable business objectives while ensuring long-term technology goals for all aspects of a solution.
Collaborates with team members for technical validation during design and planning phases.
Informs aspects of portfolio maturity regarding technology and ability to achieve target technology alignment, while facilitating a minimum viable architecture.
Monitors large-scale project execution and considers and interprets architectural tradeoffs occurring during delivery. Escalates for appropriate context sharing and decision making, as necessary.
Proactively enables portfolio owners to see technical debt clearly, provides appropriate context to inform plans to achieve elimination of technical debt in a comprehensive plan across multiple portfolios, delivery teams, programs, or projects.
Serves as a mentor for other members of the team, builds an environment for analysts, engineers, architects, and other technology leaders to grow and have high impact.
Directs and drives closure on investment decisions within the enterprise while also identifying cross-portfolio impacts on significant delivery initiatives.
Serves as a subject matter expert for multiple portfolios, providing actionable recommendations via consultation services, adapted to stakeholder context, to technology leadership and organizational stakeholders.
Collaborates with architects, portfolio owners, and other job families to achieve an enterprise view; provides project and program level views to project and program teams in context of enterprise strategies and directions with light supervision.
Supports business agility through agile engagement across multiple delivery operations.
Interprets business needs, assesses solution choices, applies technology, and provides project guidance within a long-term enterprise lens.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business, or related field, plus five years' related experience with at least three years specific to architecture; or
Associate's degree in a technical field, plus seven years' related experience with at least three years specific to architecture; or
High School Diploma plus nine years' related experience with at least three years specific to architecture, required.
