Mainframe Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Design, code, and maintain core banking applications on z/OS mainframe environments.
Perform system upgrades, capacity planning, and performance tuning for CICS, DB2, and IMS systems.
Troubleshoot production ABENDs and optimize JCL for batch processing.
Collaborate with application teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate with cloud APIs (AWS Mainframe Modernization).
Ensure mainframe security compliance (RACF/ACF2) and adherence to banking regulations (FFIEC/GLBA).
Top Skills Required:
Languages: COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
Tools: JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and SDSF.
Banking: Deep understanding of core banking transaction processing (deposits, payments, or loans modules).
