Job Title: Mainframe Automation Engineer with Python – Remote

Quick Summary:
We need a mainframe performance person who also knows Python automation. If your candidate can pull RMF/SMF data and write Python scripts to automate stuff, this is a perfect fit.

Must-Have
Mainframe performance tools – RMF, SMF
Workload Manager (WLM) knowledge
Python scripting for automation
Working with APIs to extract mainframe performance data
z/OS environment experience
Nice-to-have (but not required):
Data visualization / analytics tools
DevOps or automation frameworks
Distributed systems integration
What they’ll actually do (pitch this to candidates):
Monitor mainframe performance using RMF
Analyze SMF data for tuning and reporting
Optimize system resources with WLM
Write Python scripts to automate performance tasks
Connect mainframe data to modern tools via APIs
Find bottlenecks and suggest fixes
