Logistics Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking a Transportation Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team  and Energy platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in truck transportation procurement, carrier management, and TMS administration and a proven ability to negotiate competitive freight rates, optimize capacity, and deliver reliable on-time performance. 

Responsibilities:

• Support enterprise carrier management strategy through rate negotiations, relationship and capacity management, shipment execution, carrier segmentation, and spend management.
• Negotiate rates and contract terms with carriers and drive value creation across product lines, including maximizing load pairing and backhauls.
• Analyze transportation operations to identify process and cost improvement opportunities and implement solutions under general supervision.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on transportation markets and rates, ensuring third-party relationships are profitable and aligned with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in truckload and less-than-truckload procurement, carrier negotiations, and load planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess market dynamics and drive cost-effective outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across product lines and with third-party carriers.
• Experience with transportation management systems and data tools; ability to manage freight rates, contracts, and KPIs.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MasterMind TMS or similar transportation management platforms.
• Background in agriculture or energy supply chains and familiarity with seasonal capacity planning.

Systems and Data Responsibilities:

• Monitor carrier performance and KPIs, implement corrective actions, and maintain service levels for CHS and customers.
• Maintain TMS data, internal spreadsheets, and databases for contracts, freight rates, volumes, and customer profiles.
• Resolve freight invoice issues to ensure accurate and timely payments to carriers.
