Job Summary

Lead Java Backend Developer with 12+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable enterprise systems using Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and modern CI/CD pipelines. The Lead Developer will drive backend solution architecture, mentor teams, and deliver high-performance banking applications in an onsite environment in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and development of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.

Architect high-scalability, high-availability backend systems for financial applications.

Build and optimize Kafka event-driven architectures, including producers, consumers, and streaming workflows.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of secure, stable, and high-quality solutions.

Conduct technical reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor development teams.

Troubleshoot production issues and guide continuous improvement efforts in architecture and performance.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards for banking software.

Required Skills

12+ years of experience in Java backend development.

Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.

Deep working knowledge of Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, consumer groups, and schema management.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).

Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Excellent skills in system design, debugging, performance optimization, and distributed systems.

Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada on a long-term engagement.
