Job Title: Lead Engineer – Payment Integrity (Healthcare Claims)

Location: Dallas, TX / St. Louis, MO

Role Overview

Lead design & development of a cloud-native, event-driven platform for Healthcare Payment Integrity and Claims Processing. Build config-driven rule engines supporting pre-pay/post-pay validation, fraud detection, and claims adjudication.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead microservices & event-driven systems (Kafka)
• Build rule engines & metadata/config-driven platforms
• Design claims validation & payment integrity workflows
• Develop scalable APIs & integration frameworks
• Enable dynamic rule updates (JSON/YAML/XML)
• Collaborate with business & payment integrity teams

Required Skills

• Java/Python (strong hands-on)
• Kafka, event-driven architecture
• AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB)
• Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• SQL & NoSQL data modeling
• Rule engine / config-driven systems

Domain Expertise (Critical)

• Healthcare payer systems
• Claims processing & adjudication
• Payment Integrity (pre-pay, post-pay)
• Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA)
• Experience with Facets / QNXT / Amisys (preferred)

Experience

• 8+ years engineering
• 3+ years in lead/architecture role
